Software Engineer Application
This role requires approximately 5-10 hours per week and offers the opportunity to work with our development and leadership team on meaningful projects that bridge the digital divide through customer-facing and internal applications.
Position responsibilities include:
- Maintain and enhance The Silicon Project's website (wecareactnyc.org + thesiliconproject.org)
- Develop new web applications and microsites under The Silicon Project's domain
- Work with React, TailwindCSS, Typescript, and JavaScript using modern development practices
- Implement version control best practices using Git
- Collaborate effectively using VS Code and modern development workflows
- Design and implement new features and bug fixes
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Strong foundation in web development and modern programming practices preferred. All experience levels welcome to apply!
